Sentinel HASP^® HL Protection Key Firmware Update: Readme

This document provides information regarding the Sentinel HASP HL Protection Key firmware update files. Using these files, you can update the firmware on you HL protection key to version 3.25.

Note: This process is only necessary if the firmware version on your HL protection key is earlier than 3.21. For later versions, the firmware is update automatically when the key is attached to a computer where Sentinel HASP v.5.0 or later is installed.

Enhancements

The HASP HL Key Firmware has been modified to support future planned security enhancements in Sentinel HASP.

Applying the Firmware Update

Attach your HL protection key to the computer containing the firmware update files.

Double-click FirmwareUpdate.exe. The RUS window is displayed.

Click Apply Update to apply the firmware update to the HL protection key.

Note:

If you want to integrate the Firmware Update process in your application installation process, you can use the hasp_update function in the Run-time API to apply firmware_update_325.v2c.
